Changing Perceptions, One Chocolate at a Time
Impact through employment, not charity
Welcome February, the month of Valentine’s Day, a time when we look for gifts that say a little more than “I remembered.” Harry Specters feels like the perfect choice for this season: indulgent, thoughtful, and rooted in care. Behind every box of chocolate is a story about inclusion, opportunity, and challenging misconceptions around autism.
Harry Specters
Harry Specters came about from a deeply personal place. Founder Mona Shah didn’t set out to only make chocolate: inspired by her autistic son, Ash, Mona wanted to create a future where neurodivergent people were seen, valued, and given the same chances in the workplace as everyone else. At the heart of Harry Specters is a clear mission: shift perceptions, delight taste buds, and open doors for autistic talent.
Harry Specters produces beautifully crafted luxury chocolates and gift collections, with options to personalise boxes for thoughtful gifting and a subscription service that delivers handcrafted chocolates to your door each month. All while working to alter minds about autism and challenge the many misconceptions that still exist.

Their commitment to quality extends to what goes into each product. Harry Specters’ chocolates are made without artificial ingredients, are vegetarian-friendly, and gluten-free. Every box is thoughtfully produced, reflecting the care and attention behind both the product and the mission.
Harry Specters is intentionally in the business of chocolate. Their social impact comes from running a commercial enterprise that champions autistic people through paid employment. To date, Harry Specters has helped over 360 autistic people and generated more than £283,127 in social value by hiring autistic employees, supporting them to build skills, confidence, and independence. They are proud to partner with bibic, who works holistically with many individuals, offering therapy and long-term support to disabled people and those with neurological conditions.
The true impact of Harry Specters is best captured by the voices of the families behind the business. Parents speak about how having a job has transformed their children’s lives: building confidence, independence, a sense of belonging and reach personal milestones they once thought out of reach. One parent described employment as “life-changing,” another shared how their child now feels “proud, capable, and part of something.”
Harry Specters proves that business can challenge stereotypes, create real opportunity, and still deliver something genuinely delightful. This Valentine’s Day, their chocolate gifts offer a chance to support inclusion, change perceptions, and celebrate love in its most meaningful form.
