Designed to Be Loved for Years
Designed to last, made with care
As more brands embrace sustainability as a value, Bagabù stands out for embedding it into every step of the process: from how each bag is made to how it’s packaged, proving that conscious design works best when it’s built in from the very beginning.
Bagabù
Founded with the aim of reducing waste in the fashion industry, Bagabù creates handcrafted bags made from textile leftovers. By giving discarded materials a new life, they transform textile waste into colourful, one-of-a-kind pieces through thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship - designed to be used daily and loved for years.
Established in Italy in 2015, they now have a physical store in Copenhagen, where they host workshops using leftover materials to promote sustainability.

Bagabù’s impact is rooted in how and why they produce. The brand sources its leftover textiles from Italy, working with the same trusted suppliers over time to ensure consistency and quality. In 2024 alone, they sold a thousand bags and saved 400 kgs of textile waste. Each bag is handmade on demand, a deliberate choice that avoids overproduction and excess stock. By producing only when there is a real need, Bagabù reduces waste while maintaining a close connection between maker, material, and customer.
Even their packaging reflects this commitment: Bagabù reuses old boxes and packaging from other companies whenever possible, and when new packaging is needed, it’s made exclusively from recycled paper. Every detail is considered through the lens of waste reduction.
Through their unique, affordable and sustainable bags, Bagabù shows how small, conscious decisions can add up to meaningful impact. By transforming textile leftovers into functional, beautiful bags - and producing only what’s needed - they offer a compelling alternative to fast fashion.
