Reclaiming Postpartum Care

So women can reconnect with their bodies — and access the support they deserve

This week marks one year since the birth of my daughter. To honour such a life-changing moment, I wanted to write about a company that goes beyond physical care for new mums - offering education and emotional support through a holistic, evidence-based approach. Mum Bub Hub exists to ensure mothers feel supported, informed, and cared for during pregnancy and the postpartum journey.

Mum Bub Hub was born from lived experience. Its founders - doulas and community advocates - saw firsthand how postpartum care was often overlooked, under-supported, and surrounded by silence. Many women lacked access to the time, knowledge, and resources needed to heal after birth. In response, they created a social enterprise dedicated to improving perinatal wellbeing through thoughtful products, education, and emotional support.

Their range of pregnancy and postpartum essentials is rooted in traditional healing practices that help mothers care for their bodies with intention - from herbal sitz baths and nourishing oils to soothing blends and postpartum essentials.

But their impact goes far beyond physical products: Mum Bub Hub provides hands-on, practical support for parents through a range of services, including antenatal and postpartum preparation, mental wellness support, breastfeeding guidance, one-to-one postpartum wellness sessions, and group support for early parenthood.

As a not-for-profit, revenue from product sales funds Mum Bub Hub’s wider community initiatives, allowing them to deliver support sessions and wellbeing programmes for mothers who are often excluded from traditional care models. They partner with midwives, doulas, health visitors, family support workers, and local organisations to ensure their resources reach the women who need them most. Their work is intentionally focused on marginalised communities, addressing systemic barriers to perinatal care and creating accessible, culturally responsive support.

Mum Bub Hub offers care and connection during one of life’s most transformative experiences. Their mission ensures that mothers feel seen, supported, and cared for.
